Long Boat Races    2018: November 10 and 11

Traditionally the main event of the Phimai Festival every year in November, long-boat races are held

along the banks of the Chakkarat River, widened more than 200 years ago for this purpose.

Today, dozens of teams participate in colorful, partly traditional attire, and thousands of spectators

cheer them on and celebrate the champions.
